I am from Germany and visited Sumatra for the first time in 2017 during a 3 months trip. I only wanted to stay a couple of days , but I instantly fell in love with the place and the people and ended up staying 4 weeks in the first place. I then quit my job in 2018, came back and stayed for several months. I have been trekking multiple times in Bukit Lawang and I just can’t get enough of the jungle views. Sumatra definitely feels like a second home. I take care of customer communication, quotations and travel organisation in advance.
Saprol, On Site Manager
I was born and raised in the village of Bukit Lawang in North Sumatra. After high school, I did my training to become a licenced trekking guide and after passing I started taking groups through the jungle. I love to show people my home country and the beauty of the rainforest. I organised treks for groups of various sizes, ages and nationalities for the past years. Besides that I love playing guitar and soccer. I look after our guests on site and organise our team of over 20 drivers, guides, assistants and porters.
